Yeah man! Got the fan installed and made intake mold. ran up the fan on 12s on the bench with no intake ring or thrust tube. 4600 watts and 108anps. i will measure thrust and everything ekse again once installed.

Got the intake molds done and laid up and installed. With the fan installed he numbers are the same as they were on the bench. 13.5lbs thrust installed hich I am very happy with.

BVM Maverick run up (0 min 46 sec)

13.5 lbs installed, that`s a lot of punch for 4.6kw That Turbax rotor may be a little loud, but it sure does work. I also still think it will sound good in the air.

yep! that was with a 3.5" exit and only 30c batts. going to get 6000mah 25c turnigy nanos after i fly on 5300s

man thats slick B!!!!! that ducting looks awesome!

have you measured eflux?

also, yeah, the turbax is loud, but in the air, like lee said, it will have a nice sound. on the plus side, when your flying with turbines, youll still be able to hear it a little bit, and thats nice. all these quiet fans, you cant hear them when flying with other people.

im really looking forward to your flight report!

well its probabaly a 10yr old plane but yeah. the white paint is all yellowed and I can still smell the glow fuel on her.

Would love to see your battery placements. I have one with the e-Turbax fan in the stock location, could only get 3s 5300s to fit along side the thrust tube and then one 3s where the old hopper tank went (for a total of 9s).

How are you getting 12s on board?
