Since you asked. I can help. Give Chuck/FlyGuy24/7 at HobbyShopWarehouse a PM, or a phone call. Personally, I'd give him a call @ 866-856-1559 He is open literally, 24/7!

Hello drumbum,
I was contacted by Jon at "yourhobbyshop" he directed me to Chuck at yourhobbyshoppe@gmail.com I emailed him about a A7 kit only and he mailed me back quoting me $129.00 for the kit,he emailed an invoice and I payed him via paypal, ofcourse I had postage on top to the U.K -Drop him a line. It will probably take awhile for the kit to get to me.
I traced my fault to a bad battery connection lost all power at abour 20 feet and in she went. Of cousre my new build will be better,I will gut my old airframe later today.

I got one used off creagslist a few months back and on my 5th flight I nosed it in really really bad! It distroyed the first 4-5in of the bird, it crumpled the intake, The front of the bird was distroyed all the way back to where the back part of the poilts houseing sits.

So I got mad, went to lowes and got a sheet of the 4in thick, blue foam.

It cut reall nice and I used a hot glue gun to glue it all back with new foam.

It was easyer than I thought, I just attacked one peace at a time intill I had the general shap I needed, then sanded it smooth.

The only issue you will have is fining a freaken grey that maches the stock color.

And the fact this blue foam is the same foam as the plane, it dose not like spray paint!!!

I tried putting a few layers of minwax as a barrior, and it did not work, it still ate some of the foam.

So I just brushed on a smoth layer of emanal paint from lowes, and it was safe to use stray paints after that layer. The best spray paint is the ones from the hobby store as it will not eat the foam as bad as most.

Also Used a emanal primer to block sand smooth.

What you got to lose? a little time and materals that you will need anyway.

PS use the light wight spackel from lows also.

Good Luck and have fun

Excellent rebuild Mike,
Great colour scheme good for orientation ! Good you sorted out the paint problem with the blue foam.I have used foam safe acyrlic sprays on my foamies but you still have to be careful as sometimes they have eaten into my foam-alway good to test on spare piece of foam.

Also, my biggest issue with repaint this bird is I like the stock stickers.

Well I found a cheap fix for that, its the wifey. LOL

Just take some good pic up close with a digitial camera, edit it in photo shop, to get rid of the background. Then go to OfficeMax and get sticker paper. Its a full sheet of cear sticker materal ($18 for 20 sheets I think) that you run throw your ink jet printer, then cut around the new decal and stick! Pluse you can change the colors.

Im going to add a cool skull that my F4E had, on to this bird today.

Have fun

Thanks redtail.

I am also fan of A-7's, for not to confuse the people I meant especially J-Power A-7, not the from their sister company "Sky Angel" A-7 (or as they described F-8) which in their mini series.

Thanks redtail,

I was also assuming that could be J-Power. The bad news is, I am also looking for kit version for a long time and never been able to found.

If some one who is reading these posts and knows where we can find one, I will be appreciated.
