3D Hobby Shop 87" Extra SHP
3D Hobby Shop 50cc 87” Extra SHP with DL50 and MTW Can Exhaust
I have to make room for a new 50cc airplane project so to my dismay the 3DHS SHP has to go to make room in the basement.
I have been flying the SHP for about a year and a half now, and enjoyed every minute. The airframe has never been severely damaged. One incident involving fuel starvation resulted in a cracked carbon fiber landing gear that was subsequently replaced with new. No other damage has been sustained throughout the life of the airplane. The DLE50 has run perfectly from day one and was thoughtfully broken in according to the manufactures recommendations. Only high quality oil has been used. Since day one the engine never missed a beat.
One item of note are the elevator and rudder hinges. The hinges have begun to develop slop in the center joints over time. It might now be a good time to replace the hinges with new Robart Point Hinges. The aileron hinges however remain in like new condition.
