YellowJacket-5.8-Pro-Diversity-Receiver vs ImmersionRC Duo 5.8 GHz

Hello,

there is only 2 5.8ghz diversity receivers around :

ImmersionRC Duo 5.8 GHz > 260$
http://hobbywireless.com/cart/index....roducts_id=208

ImmersionRC 600mW 5.8 GHz > 169$
http://hobbywireless.com/cart/index....roducts_id=522

And

YellowJacket-5.8-Pro-Diversity-Receiver > 529.95
http://www.iftrontech.com/5.8GHz-Div...duct_info.html

Mondo Stinger 5.8GHz 500MW AVD Transmitter
http://www.iftrontech.com/5.8GHz-Tra...duct_info.html

I would like to know if somebody has any experience with them the price difference is huge while they suppose to do the same on paper. Immersion RC has very good reputation for all their products and i dont know much about iftrontech.

I consider this setup :
ImmersionRC Duo 5.8 GHz + 8dbi Patch Antenas + ImmersionRC 600mW 5.8 GHz Tx

Or
YellowJacket-5.8-Pro + 5.8GHz Patch 8dbi + Mondo Stinger 5.8GHz 500MW AVD Transmitter

Any remark on these setups would be great
Regards

Ive used the yellowjacket 5.8ghz diversity but with the 250mw, worked at 3km with 14db patch & omni but wasnt fantastic, I wouldnt fly with it, good for just viewing video tho.

Yellowjacket is very pretty, it beeps with lights and stuff... not worth the crazy price tag, get the immersion if you have your heart set on one of them.

I use an Oracle (or eagle eyes) with 2 RX's of my choice, I have diversity on about 5 different setups.

Why even bother with either?
Get this instead, way cheaper and works great.

Yes, these should be compatible, they both use the standard 'airwave' 5.8GHz channels.

FWIW, I own the 2.4GHz Yellowjacket Pro and it's very good on reception, reliability, and quality. Definitely better than 95% of the usual Rx's out there. Don't know about the 5.8 though. One thing I do know is that Iftrontech has top notch customer service, speaking from personal experience.

All in all, I bought from Iftrontech because ImmersionRC has had some serious product availability/logistics problems. But, I still think the price is too high on Iftron stuff. I'm all for buying products made in the USA, but when its twice the price as competitors I have to raise my eyebrow a bit.

what would i need to do to display video on my laptop using the immersion rc duo receiver? i have a pretty generic dell laptop that i'd love to use until i can set up a dedicated video or FPV goggle arrangement.
fwiw, i bought a second hand 5.8 gHz mondo stinger Tx and a new immersion rc duo Rx with two patch antennae.
thanks!

I have the iftron 5.8 500mw tx and the yellowjacket and iftron replaced my tx after I f-ed it up five different times now and it was my fault each time . but they replaced it free! and they just replaced the guts of my receiver too . free! If I had got the other guys stuff I would have spent way more money on crashing and my own wiring f-ed ups.
I will stick with the product support iftron has. ps I now know better not f-ing this one up opps lol

Is the 600mW 5.8GHz A/V Tx compatible with the Iftron Yellow Jacket 5.8 Rx? I appreciate the help.
