SlowStick shopping/mod list help

ok.. gonna take the plunge and get a slowstick and try my hand at some aerial photography.. i know there are tons of mods for the slowstick.. so if you guys can give me suggestions on what exactly I need.. my LHS said they can order the SlowStick for $34.95 and a flight pack that will work with it for around $75.. i think it comes with a 400mah battery though help me figure out what i need so i can order all this at once.. i already have a Triton charger and Hitec Eclipse7...

thanks

i would go for 8 cell packs of kan 950's, gives more power to carry a camera, a spare motor and a couple of props unless you do the servo arm mod holding the prop on with an elastic band.
better wheels. keep the receiver well away from the speed controller and motor, i mounted mine on the wing and run the aerial along the wing away from the alluminium boom so you can fly high and get some good shots.

p.s $40.00 is a lot for batterys look here http://www.electricsquadron.com/

t.nollott has given some good advice there - I,m sure they'll be lots more!
Try www.aircraft-world.com for batteries, wheels, props, prop-saver etc.
They ship from Japan for only $2.50 !

well you can put c/f rods full lenght front and back to stop flutter
i built a 1/4 '' thick balsa tail end, makeing the control serfaces 30% bigger, used a 1"hole cutter to reduce weight then covered
looks good if you cover with translucent colored film.
but the best mod is going brushless with li-polys.
left standard they are a great plane.

Do a search for other numerous slowstick threads. Though well intended, much more reliable info will be found elsewhere.

I put balsa down the fuse, replaced aluminum tube with brass and epoxied everything.
Since your no stranger to Brushless.........
SS performs great on BL.
Currently flying with a PJS800 and 8 cell KANS, 11x4.7 SF. It goes vertical for as long as you can hold it from leveling out.
The PJS1000 would have been better.
I have LEDS, an epoxied wing from a midair with a three dee, and have flown with a bombbay loaded with plastic parachuters.
Added strapping tape spar.
Flies inverted, outside loops, vertical and can hover for about 3-5 seconds.
My favorite plane for relaxing after a nervous flight with my nemesis.

The Slow stick is a great plane!!

Mods:

- Wheels
- changed to a 12x60 prop
- got rid of the battery holder and replaced with bass wood 1/8" plate and velcro
- I used a dab of hot glue to stop all the mounts on the square shaft from sliding.
