Also do a check with a wattmeter, just to make sure. These stock setups are pushing close to the esc rated amps. I swapped mine out to a hw100a and cc bec. Not trying to scare you, but i swap out the esc and bec on every plane/jet, but just for your reference depending on flying style, cruiser or WOT.

Hey Aros, I purchased one of these birds about a month ago. They are awesome. I am saving funds to buy a DX8 so I have not flown her yet. I think that this jet, my Starmax 1600 mm A-1 Skyraider, HET 70mm A-10 Warthog, and E-flite F4 Phantom (when ever it arrives) are the coolest aircraft in my fleet. Cheers!

Great planes you got there! I'm really pleased so far...I love the overall quality and decent stock speed...

Well now that the paint has dried I am seeing the blue is not the Navy Blue color I was hoping for. Even though the paint color is called "Gloss Dark Blue" and the lid looks Navy Blue, it's more of a royal blue. It's still definitely passable as a Blue Angel but I'm very anal when it comes to painting my birds as close to the FS version as possible.

I'm not sure why Testors doesn't offer a TRUE deep blue! They have many variants of blue yet none of them are a nice deep, navy or midnight blue for some reason (regardless of what the paint color says or the lid looks like).

I just want this to be perfect because so far, I have had no problems with this plane. That's pretty much a first after 6 years of being fully immersed in the hobby. I will get the BEC and probably a higher amped ESC but right now, everything functions perfectly.

BTW, tried my hand at reversing an old servo I had laying around and got it to work successfully. Nice to have options...

Yes I have a couple few, but read on there website that "This Voltage Protector is not intended for Aircraft use" so I pulled em out.

Here's a couple shots before I put the final yellow trim and decals on her. Testor's "gloss dark blue" is definitely more of a sky blue so I am bummed about that. It still looks good and unmistakable as a Blue Angel, but the base color should be more of a navy blue. Oh well.
