as for the nose cone why not order a new one and hack it off just aft of the damage. Cut the new one in the same spot and glue in the new nose cone portion.

Scunna, In person of these two planes, what sounds better? This F18 with the 12blade 90mm. Or the mirage fitted with the 10Blade 70mm CS?

For pure sound the 90 mm fan is winning so i would have to say the hornet. The mirage still sounds awesome though.

That nose leg took the weight of the whole plane and beacause of the link bar behind it it never budged.

my first flight with my new contour camera- it was also my first flight using the new 3s 2650mh 40c batteries. they make the plane 150 grams lighter than it was with the old 6s 4000mh battery and that worked out great cause the camera weighs in at 146grams. i did another flight after this without the camera and it really makes a big difference without that extra weight. cg without the camera and the batts all the way forward is 75mm and felt fine. after the flight you see, the batteries still had 3.9v per cell and were luke warm. with throttle management i could easily fly 3 minutes on these new batteries which i feel is plenty if it increases performance through less weight.

lets just say its "after hours" only, and a rarity. i usually fly the hornet off the grass at our local club but its a tad wet at the moment. its not much fun either when you suck a rock down the intake (has happened twice here- right at lift off and lucky to save the jet). so its a bit of a risk even though its a fairly clean runway. never had this problem on the grass
