The Aussie started as a V1 & on the last shipment was updated to V3. The stock fan unit is perfectly fine & mine sounds brilliant!

the 1750kv stock motor is too high of a kv, unless you plan on using a 5s battery around 5000mah. If your going to use 6s 1500-1650kv is where u want to be. I used a 1700kv and it pulled 115-120a on 6s so u can imagine the 1750kv will be around 120+ on 6s. Now Im using a 1500kv and and getting 76a. Oh ya and the stock esc will definitely need to be changed. Unless you drop to a 1500kv motor.

Hi V8truckin
Could you please tell me what 1500kv motor you are using (on 6S) in the CS9012?
What battery, and ESC settings are you using?
Thanks Eric

And to add to Eric's questions, why did you change to the CS fan, and do you feel it's worth the upgrade effort?

Okay what a minute...I'm lost...What is the stock setup? I am running a 6s 5000 45C battery...Is that okay? It's a heavy brick...

Aros:

Yes 5000mah 6s is great if u make it fit as I assume u did. Prolly a lil more speed and more flight time compared to the 4000mah I use.
Stock setup is 1750kv motor & 85a esc.

4stripes:

1500kv flyfly motor & 100 a Hobbywing platinum pro esc.

TNT:

CS12 does the lil more thrust/speed with the 1500kv motor, lower amp draw = more flight time, & better sound. Higher kv motor 1600kv way faster than stock same flight time depending on motor and better sound.

Good to know V8 but I can't help but think she's pretty heavy with that battery I'm running. I'll throw in two 3s 4000's to see if I notice a difference.

Still wondering about my orientation issue...Any one else?

Here's the link to my euro vid with the 1500kv motor flyfly, CS12, & 100a HW platinum pro esc.

F18 is smaller and lighter so it'll be a lil faster.

I'll post a vid either today or tmrw of the CS12 with 1500kv motor just to show the difference in speed and sound. I believe Cap'n soap posted a vid earlier but with a 1600kv motor. Maybe a lil temptation!!!

Heres a vid (cell mounted to radio) i tried to do but wind was 20+mph, so you cant hear much except for take off, a few flybys, & 2:35 prolly best sound. Ill get a better one tomorrow when the wind calms. Oh prolly my worst landing ever @ the end 7 video. Thought i was gonna slam her down or into a curb but pulled it off like a veteran (pat on the back), but scared the hell outta me. Sorry for the shake had to walk to my spot while i was flying.

CS12 1500kv motor 100a HW plantium pro esc & cc bec

Smokes the stock setup in speed easy!!!

Freewing FA18E SuperHornet CS12 1500kv & afterburner (4 min 48 sec)
