Here is what I have tested since all this LX model twin 70mm coming out. I know some people would like to know even knowing that stock is sucks. Here I did two test :
1) LX 6S fan/motor =43.3amps 985 watts=3.3lb of thrust
2) LX housing/motor with a mini rotor=40 amps 927watts=2.3lb of thrust

Using a plush 80 amp ESC and a set of old 25c rhinos.

I ran the mini rotor first and got 2.3lbs. Then plugged up the LX fan up and I was shocked how much of a diffenrence the LX rotor could push! 1lb diffenece! HOLY!!!!

Can you educate me on what ducted fans and motors you used? I am confused?

Yes, I'm using the stock 70mm fan from LX models it's 2100kv rated at 6S. On the second test I've used the same LX models fan housing and 2100kv motor, but a wemo minifan rotor. Both are ran off the same rhino pack, of course both fully charged for my test.

so the stock LX fans are good. just need to balance it really well.
do you know where to get more LX rotors?

Hello jet-ster,

I am running into a problem and maybe you can help. I am running LX shrouds with wemo mini rotors and ARC motors. I too would like to try the LX rotors but when I tried to install them I noticed the shafts on the ARC motors are 3.17mm and the shaft adapter for the LX rotors are 4mm ? Does Lx make a 3.17mm adapter ? Any suggestions ??
