Log on to Hobbyking.

Click on the link in the completion email.

When the cierva page loads, join the swarm, then check yr shopping cart. Adjust quantity in yr shopping cart.

Depends what browser you are using.

Help!! I've got less than 9hrs to make this happen.

I'm using good ol' IE 8 or something like that.

Should be ok with IE8. I read swarms are difficult with safari.

Are you trying to link from the swarm completion email?

Try this:

remove the cierva at the regular price from your cart.

click on the link from the completion email.

When the cierva page loads, rejoin the swarm.

Check if it's in yr cart at the swarm price.

I closed the HK window in my browser.

I click the link from the HK e-mail.

The Cierva page opens up but it opens to the bottom of the page (the swarm "area"). The code is pre-entered, just have to press the "join" button.

If I press "join" it states that the code is invalid.

If I don't press join I checked my cart...empty.

I click (from the linked page) to add one to my cart and it enters at the regular price.

Getting frustrated.

Just tried it.

Got the "code not valid" error from the link.

I can only presume the HK server is confused about time zones and thinks the swarm has expired.

Was anyone able to put it in their cart?

Tried entering my email. it started a new swarm!

Well, everything else about their server seemed to have the times right. The e-mail I received at 9:30 (GMT -7:00) said "Less than 15 hours to complete the purchase" which is spot-on correct. That was less than 7 hours ago now, so we should still have more than 7 hours (which takes us back to midnight here, when I started the Swarm yesterday).

Is it possible that more people jumped in and bought that weren't actually signed up in the swarm? Does it keep track like that?

Even if they did jump in (like more than 6 people) the swarm should still allow original swarm members to order.

I suspect the bug is to do with the time limits. Swarms do expire and produce that error code.

I suggest you join the swarm I started a few minutes ago. And work on a 12 hour time limit (to include placing the order) from the time the swarm started.

I started the swarm at about 23.05 Zulu (GMT).

Well, they should be opening within the next couple hours. I'll see if I can get anybody to respond and get this fixed up for me. If not, I may end up joining your swarm, though the odds would seem slim of getting a full slate up again. Then again, I'm getting frustrated enough now to just figure "chuck it".

Thanks,

Scottrik

Silly me, I ordered spare blades an a spare head as part of my "swarm" purchase of the airframe: the airframe is in, and I can't dump the backordered blades and head to get the airframe shipped.

Oh, well, the weather stinks, here, anyway.

What's up, Duck?

I "just" found out they were in stock again. Ordered one and now I find out about the swarm!!!

No problem, at least I'll have something to tinker with when the slow boat arrives.
