Head for PT Profile

Okay, I hope this will make things a bit more clear on the head issue,

Regards,
Martin,

The head on the left is for blades that turn clockwise.

The head on the right is for blades that turn counter or anti clockwise.

Maybe somebody must just confirm that as well.

Ok guys, you're making this hub thing more complicated than it is. Here is the simple answer:

When you look at your hub from the top, and turn the hub counter-clockwise; the blade grips should appear to sweep forward toward the direction of rotation. If they are sweeping aft of the rotation(as in the picture of the replacement hub above) they are installed wrong.

This is a delta offset style hub and an incorrect sweep angle will prevent the model from flying.

Take another look at the picture in post #74, or #134 and pay attention to the difference in the angle of the blade grips(the white plastic part with the angle on the end). Remove your grips, flip them over, and re-install. Done deal guys.

Hope this helps,
-Mike

In Martins pics (assuming a counter-clockwise rotating system), the pic on the left is wrong, and the pic on the right is correct. If your blades were set for clockwise rotation the left pic is correct, and the right pic is incorrect.

I do not own this kit. Not to talk down to you, but I'm not sure if you are asking how to determine rotation direction, or which rotation direction this particular kit has; To determine the direction a blade is set up for, lay the blade sideways in front of you with the leading edge away from you, and the trailing edge closest to you. If the hole is on the left....it is for counter-clockwise rotation/If the hole is on the right....it is for clockwise rotation. Again, not trying to condescend, just trying to help out.

Regards,
-Mike

The blades on the HK C-30 turn in the counter clock direction when viewed from above. The picture on #125 shows the head '''''INCORRECTLY'''' assembled. Please study the pictures I posted on #74 carefully and you should be able to see what is correct.
The kit I received had the head assembled incorrect.

Chris, we are getting there-why "one" hole on your blades rather than "two?"

The Hongy Kongy thingy is set up for two holes, right? (to attach the blade)--OOPS, just went back and looked-you have two-hole mounting.

I'm still puzzling over your photos-doh!

Thanks!

I'm guessing the "plate" thingy is the top, blue part....

Looking at the first pic of the head in post 53, is that one "wrong?"

#53 is set up for cw operation, #72 is set uo for ccw opertation. The short side of the blade holder points in the direction the blade is turning.

Can you use it "either" way, i.e., clockwise or counterclockswise?

Say, hang on, the guy in South Africa is in the Southern Hemisphere: does the coriolis effect matter?

Yours is incorrect for this model As Jochen pointed out,it is set up for clockwise operation With the blades in the kit ,you require counter clockwise direction.''Flip it over''.
