Israeli Company Debuts Tilt-Rotor Drone
This is a nice looking droid, the design is pretty much what people are uding here. Now the questions is, who is going to copy this design... HC? It's just a tricopter with wings

And yes it looks totally doable by basically adding wings to a tricopter.
Main challenge would be keeping the weight down, and figuring out how to
change your flight controls on the fly. Tricopter typically uses heli CCPM mix
which ties up most of your main channels, so it might be better to use an onboard
mixer like a quad so you can Y the aileron and elevator channels between
the input to your mixer and to your regular flight controls. Then at some point
you just flip a switch to disable the onboard ccpm mixer/gyros/etc and fly it normally.

Nice video, you would need a good radio capable of good mixing. Mode 1, just forward flying (two front motors and ailerons). Mode 2, while gliding the two front motors/propellers tilt about 45 degrees along with the rear propeller to start the hovering part. Switching from mode 2 to 1, motors start to tilt forward to create a forward momentum for a few seconds then two propellers, while still in mode 1 keep working and rear propeller stops. Mode 3 is just a plain tricopter. I'm sure I will see one here in the near future.
