Anyone crashed their 90mm EDF Starmax F-16
Looking for a canopy for my Hobby King STARMAX F16 F-16 after an inverted pass landing (oops)! It's all back together and flying but I need to replace the plastic and HK doesn't respond to parts requests. I'll gladly buy it if it is servicable.

This was nearly me! whish you luck and hope u didnt do much dmage to your tail. Wish my f-16 was the big starmax one

The tail only had grass stains! One wing broke in a couple places but epoxy and paint makes it all better.

UPDATE...
My first 90mm F16 is now retired (new airframe on the way). The aircraft suddenly rolled inverted during a high speed dive giving no time to recover. A leading edge flap parted company. I think the wire linkage flexed at speed then the hinges tore out of the wing. Next time I'll put carbonfiber tubing over those linkages as well as the elevator linkages. I would recommend adding extra hinges on the LE flaps as well. It has been a steep learning curve but I think they can be made reasonably reliable. |

I beg to differ, the LE flaps work very well. You can extend flaps at just about any speed and there is no elevator trim change. I've flown many models with flaps and it is unheard of not to require down trim when flaps are applied. It allows a nice nose high throttle on approach and it works so well I'm putting them on my 90mm Starmax F/A-18 as it is so simple and doesn't require any more than one flap servo per wing.
The only weakness was the thin wire linkage but that is an easy fix. Cheers
