The "F3K Team" thread has been talking about dates for next year's contests. I'm thinking something like Aug 5-7 (1st weekend in Aug)... opinions?

Yes, it's way in advance, but some folks out there like to plan way in advance.

DLG Delivery Service?

Can I ask favor of one of the RMSA guys going to BSOAZ? I just bought John Armstrong's (Proppy John) Vandal kit. Could one of you pick it up from him at Blue Skies and bring it home to Denver? I could pick it up from you here in town or at the next contest.
TIA

Hey Colorado Guys,

I just got a confirmation from Paul Anderson, and I am posting his quote below.
=====================

"Looks like you will have a good colection of planes. I am planing on attending the BSOAZ event, looking forward to seeing you there. Any other questions for me feel free to ask

Paul"

Hey Steve Granite,

I sent you a pm, but forgot to ask where is "Camp George".

Surely, that doesn't mean George Morris back yard!

Here is a map quest link to the Camp George location. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Go...6&geocode=CITY

Take note it is not an obvious turn to get to the park off of Golden Road. You'll see a sign saying VIN verification and the park is just behind it.

Your Pm was returned.

I won't be available for the next DLG contest but will make an extra effort to be at the first one next spring.

Cheers!

Steve

Hey Bob,

We could probably strap it onto the hood of my truck.

Cheers,

Gary

Works for me, and I think the sooner we get the date set the better it is.

Uh, Thanks but....

Appreciate the offer Gary, but maybe I'll keep looking for a more safe option. Actually, Dave Runyon (Launch-1) offered to carry it if he drives.
Thanks for the offer.
Bob

Bob, congratulations- the wait is over?

The News: I have finally got my mid-aired (BSOC) Vandal flying again. Late this afternoon, I re-maidened her and she's flying quite well (surprise). The lift was plentiful. A great 1-1/2 hr of late day flying.

Repairs included: serious wing delams and foam mashing, broken boom, re-built vertical fin, split RDS pocket, mashed nose, broken spirit. All repaired. Ready to have fun again. Weight increased .5 oz... Lesson: Don't crash, especially onto pavement.

Denise and I celebrated 19 years married today.

She's a keeper if you got to fly for an hour and a half on your anniversary.

Gary, thanks for the servos. I am definately good to go for the next comp.

Steve, suck it up and show up anyway. Doesn't take any real skill or strategy for your first comp. Just look at how I did at the BSOC for my first one. Oh wait, maybe you shouldn't look at that...

Congrats, John

Denise is definitely a keeper. Lucky guy.

Actually I'm still waiting on my Vandal from Geoff. He says I'm in the que but no kit so far.
