I've heard of tmaxx big block kits I'm not sure if there's revo kits
An engine that big would probly tear up a revo
The o.s. .18tz engine puts out alot of power,rc car action claims it put out 2.38 hp on their dyno,it's advertised @1.8 .I've seen them in tmaxxs before and my uncle has a tmaxx with the o.s. .21 tm revo edition and it tears up his transmission and diffs
The tm is a drop in revo engine, search google for revo .21 conversion or is 21 tm,personally I'd go for a .18.tzx

Revo big block conversion
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...P?I=LXJMG8&P=8
This engine is pricey but os made it so it use all the stock traxxas parts, starter and flywheel so there's no special stuff needed

i'd get this engine if you want bigblock: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXURW7&P=ML

or this one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXPEB9&P=ML

these are engines i'm considering for my HPI Savage for when the stocker blows, the 8.0 is a torque monster at 8 cc and the axial is another powerfull and good one. you will need a big block kit though.

I have first hand experiance with both those engines...here goes...
The 8.0 is way too much torque and too large for the revo,Not saying its not dooable but the only clutch avalible for the 8.0 is a 23 tooth bell, that engine is a pure powerhouse and its side exhaust

The axial .32,honestly the .28 spec r feels like it has more power than the .32
Check out the LRP .28,its cheap and strong for a basher

unless you use a engine that can use the flywheel and clutch you already have you will have to buy more stuff or modify parts.

Like I stated eariler if I had to big block a revo just for bragging rights Id go with .21tm
a daily basher track toy id o.s. .18tzx

The .21 tm comes with the header also, something that will have to be custom with any other big block

HPI savage's come with big block engines for a reason, i don't like the idea of a small block in a 1/8 monster truck. i know the revo isn't true 1/8 scale, but i'd still rather have a big block. i've heard a lot of good things about the axials and the lrp. as i also said, that's what i'd go with. with the 8.0, the clutch bell isn't really an issue, as it is a torque monster, which is why you can gear to the moon for speed.

the 8.0 was the most impressive engine Ive owned,no nitro yet can beat the 8.0 on a dyno....I dont even think anything can compare to it.

you will love the savage! but i reccomend you get a pull start for it, with the roto, the one way bearing tends to fail a lot, the pull start will fix it and is just as easy, 3 short wuick pulls should start it right up.

I just bought a dynamite mach2 .19 tmaxx engine and put it in my Hyper10sc
I got a great deal on it,$107
so far its a piece-o-crap
cant even get passed the brake in cycle, runs for 30 seconds then leans out and dies, starts back in 10 cranks with open throttle

on factory settings it cant even crank,it floods out and hydra locks, lean it 1.5 turns and it still floods but sometimes starts

no matter how the fuel is set it runs for 30 seconds and dies,I know its dying from leaning out cause I have to give it more fuel before it starts again

then all seems well for a couple minutes then it starts flooding
its a frustrating process but the thing is there isnt many options for .18 engines

I wont buy another dynamite again, besides all the issues......wheres the power at? feels like its week

is it sealed or have an airleak? that could cause it to lean out and die.
