x650 Technical Documents Translation:XAircraft X650 LED Module

Hi guys,

Due to most of xaircraft X650 documents are chinese that hard to get the details of it, for convenience I will translate(poor translation) all article on their website and post it in www.xaircraft.org, also this forum.

All the LED that designed to indicate the circuit status are installed under the X650 body shell. And it is difficult to make out the flight attitude as the X650 are away more than 50 meters from the controler. So we designed the LED module to indicate the system status and flight attitude.

Features:
Include 56 bright LED, 28 for overlooking, 28 for looking up, help player make out the flight attitude and dircetion of X650.
Each one LED can be individually controlled light on or off.
Display the any status you want via adjust the XAircraft X650 Flight Control Management(Parameter Adjustment) Software.

You can't yet but I really don't know why. I'll ask XAircraft if they plan on coming out with them or not. Those ones were prototypes.

I got the generic response that they researched this a lot and it is coming out soon. Make your own conclusion as to what "soon" is.

I recall seeing these a while back along with the bluetooth module... they research a lot of things it seems...

sort of reminds me of a Chinese gps (satellite navigation) unit I have, It looks nice and does lots of things, the problem is is does non of them very well... I would rather it did less things, but what it did do, it did them well

the positioning of lights seems like a bad idea to me, very easy to get damaged...

lets hope they put all efforts into getting it flying to its full potential first!

Well edited because XA came out with " pilot lamp" that will help you find quad lost...and battery stays connected...or not damaged....

Newbie

Hi,
I've read much about the XA's and ordered my first ever heli, the XA x650 v8 with GoPro mount and GPS. My supplier has told me that he will not be sending the GPS with my unit, as there's a new GPS coming very soon to his shop, so will send when available.
I hope that I can fly the v8 without the GPS to get used to it.
I'm primarily getting into this multiirotor stuff to take photos and video, but its the first time I can justify such a cool hobby to my wife that this is a business proposition to our existing business services (photo and video).

Can anyone give me an answer to when the 2 axis gimbal for GoPro is put onto the x650, does auto stabilization come from the radio gear, or is it plugged into the x650's electronics? ie: do i need more channels on radio gear to have the camera do the auto leveling and stabilizing?
I've only ordered a 6 channel radio with my unit, and want to know how bad I've stuffed up. I will need 4 channels for flight, one for GPS and one for Gimbal? is that correct?
