Sanman55 is correct about the elevator being quite sensitive..even with -30% expo. Balanced her at 55mm. I did test the flaps at a few mistakes high (good thing, I did)....they have way too much lift, even though I had 20% down elevator mixed. Gonna work on that for another day. Any input from others who use their flaps would be most welcome.

Mine was the RTF version, as Nitro was out of stock on the ReceiverReady one. It came with a pair of Dynam 30amp ESC's. One ESC only caused the motor to "beep" rapidly and NOT rotate. I re-programmed it, which fixed the problem. Also the BEC's in each ESC were active and connected to the channel 3 lead. I cut off the center pins to isolate and disable the BEC output from both ESC's in the suppled Y harness and installed a spare Turnigy 3amp UBEC. BTW, using the supplied 3/blade props, and no washers added (yet) for additional downthrust. Seems to fly a bit faster than "scale speed", anyway...good enough for me!

Now that I know that she flys really well, I'll install the E-Retracts next week.
Congrats shipmate. She's a blast aint she.I never wouldve thought she was so docile.

retracts!

I got the retracts and have them installed, now I have to wait for better weather for the real test. These are from Hobby King. The base of the retract is too wide to fit in the preinstalled mounts though so those had to come out and I hot glued the retracts in.

Guys,
I need honest answer.
Is it me and my mostly wot flying? Is it me doing rolls and loops? I am flying it just like war-bird in a dogfight.
Is anybody else FLYING this plane? Or just scale like flying?
I had three good flights today. That was after I strengthen the wing. I added spar in front and short one in the back, I ran some wide filament tape whole chord all the way between main gear.
On the forth flight I had to dial some elevator to keep the nose level.

I love the plane. Like the looks and sound. Performance wise its great too.

I like flying scale and this plane is perfect for that type of flying with big loops and slow rolls.

I used the hinges that were included with the plane. They work just fine.

For this type of plane, I prefer scale type of flight up to some "air show" flight manuvers that you might see when Bob Hoover would perform in his Aero Commander twin turbo.

For "dog fight antics, I'd get a P 51!

I guess I was expecting too much from it then.
I fly my planes all the same. Some just do it faster, some make tighter turns, some will stall, some land at walking pace, some land like shuttles, some do knife edge, some hover, some will fly all day inverted and so on.

I was thinking if you build a plane with almost unlimited vertical, you made a performance model it should handle basic loops and rolls.
