Sterling/Estes 24" S.E.5a kit

Anyone have any experience with the "Sterling by Estes" version of the FF kit of the SE5a? I know the old Sterling kits suffered from heavy construction, but I wonder if the redesign under the Estes ownership is any better. (I hope Estes uses lighter balsa, and sharper dies!)

I have built bothe the 24" S.E.5.A and the smaller version that came with a fokker dviii. The S.E.5.A seem to be a lot lighter than the Gillows verson. I over all liked the sterling built stick boddy. It also seemed to have more than enouf lift with just the lower wing and seemed to almost not need the top wing. If by any chance do you know where I can get a new one?
