New Product
Hoverfly Flight Controller

I just wanted to make the whole community aware of a new product.

The HoverflyPro is a highly adaptable and scalable flight controller for multi-rotor copters. The main advantages are that it does NOT require soldering, it has many features on the main board, and comes programmed with FREE software updates.

This board is available for pre-order Monday September 20, 2010 at 10:00AM EST.

Please visit www.hoverflytech.com for specifications.

thats true, but that is RTF or ARF which is a little different. I guess you could count the replacement controller, but don't burst our bubble . lol

Actually, the first "plug and play" USA quadrocopter sold was the Mike Dammer designed Experimental Brushless Draganflyer board, first sold almost 4 years ago now. It had IR sensors for self leveling which, like the FMA Copilot from which it was licensed, could only be used for self-leveling when the sky and ground IR temperature was more than 10 degrees different. Still available at http://www.spectrolutions.com/brushless_proto.htm However it is not plug and play upgradeable like older Quadpowered board(s) and the just now released Hoverfly board proposes to be. Good luck again George!
Cheers,
Jim

Thank you for the interesting history Jim. I'll bring it to our team's attention.

You definitely are one of the first 20. It's only been an hour . We placed the order with our manufacturer last week and they quote 6-8 weeks. BTW, we are using a manufacturer in the U.S. They are quite literally right down the street from our office. So there's no worry about the quality control issues we've seen from some of the Chinese manufacturers. This also eliminates the possibility that the boards will start appearing under another name later on.
