But why not use bigger TRI? Will be cheaper, simpler and no problem with
props in footage too? Or quad with proper camera mount (under props)?

If you fly with proffesional (expensive) equipment you want
to have real redundancy I think. Y6 don't offer this...

Bigger tri's are difficult because of larger props needed. So they have bigger spinning inertia so the response time to balance the tri will increase to the point it can't fly stable at all.
Also professional product "Dragan Fly" (Y6) states they have engine failure redundancy.

I'll try with Yx but in this configuration:


Still no real redundancy, but payload bigger than Y6.
And very easy to make foldable frame...

It is burried somewhere in the signguy thread.
Asking only because some people seems to hate this part of a tri.

Proper designed TRi frame are equipped with sturdy yaw mechanism.
I have two TRI frames this moment with the same YAW.

Right, it is flying. Without payload...

To safe flying we need big spare thrust in case of losing propeller/motors.
I think that we need octo or even more motors for really safe flying
with DSLr or heavy camera...
