LMOA! That was a good clip, thanks Amp.

OK I guess that was too short of a review...
I'll post some pictures, flight time, and results by tonight (I hope).
Your not going to believe what the winning motor combo was.

I finally found the perfect motor combo that will hold the tail
rock solid on full hard punch outs and has massive climb out and
very good flight time.
I nailed the throttle in a hover from both knee high and chest high
and it held the nose at the 12 o-clock position all the way up to the top of my house.
I kept doing this throughout the entire battery pack.

Doing some more testing. Will try to post by tonight....

Lot's of good inf
Now to test blades!
How's it do on 4#3v1, A/B, and Q blades.
I don't think I have 14-16t pinions....I guess I'll have to try the blade option to "gear it down" a little.

regards,
Bill

Hey Tom Z, I had 2 CO5 motors and took them back because seem to weak and replace with HP05-2 16t much better power. I am gonna try HP06-2 with 14t on my #2 cb100 with stock tail motor. Thanks Tom Z good job I use stock motor ESC for HP05-2 and stock tail ESC for 2.9g

Perhaps one difference between the "same" motors coming out of factory yesterday and today, might be due to different handling.

I've noticed at LHS, the motors are all "bunched" up together. In fact, if you want a motor, you have to pull the motors apart. This can't be too good for the motor's magnets. I think having all the motors "stacked" together, would like be storing a multi colored oil painting in solvent; thereby, inadvertently dissolving and mixing the colors together, loosing the original integrity of the painting.

I used to work with strong magnets, and it was detrimental that we keep them strong for our application. We enforced very strict very handling requirements all the way out to packing.

If I was an electric motor manufacturer, I'd at least ship them out inside boxes, that when shelved allowed for X-inches clearance between motors.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Walkera doesn't care much, once they have the customer's money.

The flight times Tom is getting with HP07 are quite similar to what I was getting with stock on the 600mAh 15C battery hovering - I have been testing with circuits and found them a little less but not drastically so. Seems to me that removing the flybar gives a large increase in efficiency

Thanks Tom that 2.5 tail motor seem nice - much difficulty in mounting it ? how is it held in place difficult to see from picture.

Regards David

You can use the same tail holder as the 2.9g with dab of glue
