So, if each stand was 6.5" tall, you're talking $3.28 per stand, not including whatever method you choose to use to affix a plane to it. You could sell them for, like, $10 - $15 shipped, or something. Or add another 21 micro planes to your collection and have a stand for each of them.

Ima totalnoob, but my guess is this does not perform as an ESC, but the output port can be configured to control an ESC.

I was looking at this-

"Compatible with external brushless speed controls (optional)"

and thinking that meant it could control an ESC but was not an ESC (brushless motor driver) itself.

you are right Dave, the brushless setup is optional. My understanding, is the only spektrum UM board that is brushless is the Beast board (AR6400LBL).

mods

Anyone tried any other props (other than the three blade noted early in the thread)...i know that the Shukoi performed much better with a gws prop than the stock one.

I think this is the same motor as the mustang. On my mustang I put on a GWS 4530 prop with one of their spinners as the prop adapter. That combined with the turnigy 160 mah battery i am getting more power and 10 min flight times.

5043 prop (I think) has been mentioned when used with this motor (on a champ micro).
