Southpaw7890,

We stock the SAPAC gear as well. They are good for up a 5lb aircraft.
The Habu 32 is 7.5+ lbs depending on the set up.
I suggest Tams trailing link struts. They will be back in stock by the end of the week.

Why so heavy?

My 10s Habu has a Mach 80 ALL ALLOY EDF, 10s, 40c,4000's, ICE 120HV, a dedicated 800mAh, 30c Lipo and CC BEC for rx power, and full gear doors. No Tam's struts on this one yet.

AUW: 8.5 lbs
Top speed: 161 mph

Those might work although they are $99. I would check with Don @ Shulman aviation, the retract kit for the Habu is $175 but the struts alone are around $55 I think. i would email him for the exact strut kit for the Habu-32... Worth a try?

Another option is Tam's of course, but pricier.

Sorry might be another very dumb question - if I use a separate RX battery (6.6V,1100mah LiFe), how can I tell when I've run out of battery? Is it like the main LiPo pack where you would stop at a certain voltage level (around 3.7V or 3.8V)? If so, what's the level for an RX LiFe pack?

Fly your Jet for 3 Flights....Charge the pack...determine how many Mah you put back in...You now know how many Mah you use each flight. Life packs drop to 6.6 v and stay there until they fall dead.... Like a cliff.... http://manuals.hobbico.com/hca/lifesource-manual-v2.pdf Read!!

OK tks! I guess the question is, is there a general rule on WHEN the LiFe falls from 6 6V to dead? Like how many Mah can I safely burn up without risking getting this point?

As this is the lifeblood of your plane I never take LiFe beyond 50% of their capacity before re-charging. As stated above, you don't want to hit that cliff.

Example, If I have a 2300mAh LiFe and I take about 200 per flight I will do no more than 5-6 flights before re-charging.

Thanks for the suggestions !
Any major modifications needed or do these just kinda drop right in? I figure a littl finessing and widening may be nessecary, but other than that?

Not fully built yet ,
I'm waiting on motor and lipos
I'm running Tams gear also , but with 8s and 10s it's the same . The 8s is 5000mah and the 10s is 4000mah . My last 8s was around 8 1/4 lbs , I think
When this one is fully put together I'll weight it and post results .

Hey guys,

For those of you using the jetfan 80 systems, does ejets balance the fan unit w/motor for you or do you have to do that on your own? If so what does it entail? I'm new to this, but really want the jetfan....just wondering if I'd be able to pull it off or not. I know tam and stu do with their units if you buy the combo, but was curious about the jetfan.
