Flight time

BTW I forgot to mention. I am flying on a DX8 so we had the telemetry hooked up to the Habu. On the second flight we got a full 6 minutes of flying time at mostly full throttle and the flight pack was only just down to 20volts at landing. I am running a seperate BEC pack, which seems to use about 200mah per flight (at a guess)

Main flight battery: Dynergy 5100mah 6S 65C

Hoping to get out flying again tonight - weather permitting

Just like John said...Yes.. the eflite wheels must be replaced with Tam's wheels... once you have used Tam's struts ..the e-flite struts just dont compare. I think Tam struts are a must have in this plane.

Man I hear you. They are nice struts and I'll probably end up getting them. I am sitting here staring at the $330 price though (Struts+brakes). I could buy the Stumax fan for that!

I just started my build. This one is mostly stock but with full telemetry. Airspeed, altitude, temps, voltages etc. I am tempted to fly her first before adding the brakes. We have a 400 foot paved runway. It sounds like it is best to keep it as light as possible and I'm already adding extras. If everything works out, I can add the upgrades later.

If you have a nice 400' runway...you dont need brakes!! Get the Fan.. Just get the stuts and save your cash!!

Agreed, 400' should be plenty much! For $330 you could almost buy yourself another Habu or an eflite F-4!

Hi Guys,
After 2 1/2 weeks on the road for vacation, and getting special orders out this week, it's time to get back to biz.

We sold out of the 8s MEGA motors for the Habu while we were on vacation.
I placed an order for them yesterday, and they will be here in about 4-5 weeks.
Please pre order to be sure to get the next available one.
..................................

The 80mm Mach fans for the Habu 32 and F-4 came in while we were gone.
So they are back in stock. The HET motors for these fans are in stock as well.

Thanks, Gary

Well, it didn't. Kept getting a 3-beep error code on the ICE 100 which is overcurrent. When I plugged the unit into the Castle Link I found out that I was running a very old firmware version...like 3.27!! I upgraded to the current 4.01 which is supposed to fix the bugs that I was experiencing.

We;ll see how it goes tomorrow morning. Gonna give it another shot

Musta not come from us then.
Run it hard on the bench first to be sure it doesn't shut down on you.
Good luck tomorrow. I might try to get down there on Sat.
