You guys are good! Yes the washout is 1 deg as verified by Horizon, and yes I think 2-3 would have been better, but it is not going to get changed for the Habu 32. I was just hoping to make folks aware of the issue and offer a choice to "fake" the extra twist with the controls to make it more stable.

Maybe you pilots are trying to make the Habu more than what it is....a very fine sport plane. I have maybe 50 flights on my 32 now and with the exception of buggering up a front retract on landing the plane has flown flawless. I am sure that Horizon designed the 32 to fit a niche and so far from what I can see they hit the nail on the head.

As for those who have not flown EDF very much(or are new to EDF)....or for those old people like me......I suggest you build the plane in the stock form and save yourself lots of problems. You can have fun doing 100+ with this plane.....then once you have it dialed in go to the "hot" stuff if you want. The way I figure is if you cannot take-off and land this plane in stock form with stock setup using flaps only then you surely don't need a heavy wing-loading hot rod.....least not yet. Just saying.

Could you tell me the throws you dialled in to your HABU ?
I see on a previous post you reduced the recomended throws.

Also
When some one says they have put in 1.5 degrees washout on the ailerons and flaps
what does that equate to in MM/inches

Cheers
Steve.

See post #2431 for wing twist simulation with control settings. It is just 1/16" on each flight surface creating a 1/8" space between the two surfaces where they meet in the middle of the wing. Not as efficient as wing twist, but it works.

By the way, I think some folks are doing a disservice to this thread by dismissing issues to rookie mistakes or "flying like a foamie." This is a real issue that has been explained in previous posts. Please don't make assumptions without at least going through the information already provided.

Steve i will measure them tomorrow for you.....I forgot what I put in them......not much less on low but I did bring down the high throws. I use the high throws most times for take-off then switch over to low for flying unless I want to get wild. I suppose some of the more hot pilots use the high rates but they can get you in trouble if you don't pay attention. I crashed a few EDFs before I understood some of the flying characteristics of the planes. I learned lots flying my Fox BlackHawk but to tell the truth I like this little Habu as much as any EDF I have owned.

Yep 6s , 5000 mah nano tech 35-70c, 100 amp castle esc.
I'm using a 9 blade fan in a carbon fiber shroud , made by jetfan in Germany . It can take up to 42mm motors, letting you go up in size and use more efficient designs, then you have easy option of going 7-8s.
