Thanks, V.

get over it! i've seen posts regarding Slavery & such on here, didn't see you complaining then... :/
(BTW it's motorcycles, not motercycles)
That was kinda uncalled for. Maybe he didn't see the Slavery posts on here. Heck I didn't either. Your comment also makes it sound like he could be a racist as well. No attacks please.

I didn't say you made the racist comment. But you did imply that Capt Soap might be a racist because he didn't say anything about that comment. Maybe he didn't see it. I personally don't have an issue with going off topic like some do, but please don't insinuate that Capt Soap had knowledge of the racist comment and elected not to say anything. For all we know, he didn't see that comment.

I'm off my Capt Soap Box.

Great work! Mine needs a special Stumax paint scheme! accelerating while going straight up is a rush. I wasn't sure I was going to like the habu. After a couple off trim flights it's a keeper.

Thanks Guys!

To answer some questions, I recovered the wings and stabs. Not to bad of a job once I figured out the skin hinging process. The fuse was sanded down to get rid of paint lines and shot with rattle can primer. I had the local auto paint supply house match some paint for me so the grey, red, and white match the Oracover I am using....tomorrow (today) I am shooting the red....more pictures to follow....

Many in here just think it is a chat forum, and they don't know how to use PM. Maybe it is just to difficult for ordinary people to find out.

Hey Guys,

I'm up to about 60 flights on mine. All grass field.

A couple of weeks ago, I had to replace a few components that were damaged in a bad take-off attempt.

My nose gear steering had been seeing a lot of activity and got pretty far off of center.

I would compensate with rudder/Steering on take-offs.

About 2 weeks ago our fields' grass was exceptional long and very, very wet.

I screwed up by forcing the plane off the grass while I was holding a ton of rudder to compensate for the steering.

The Habu 32 went knife edge very quickly.

I corrected with aileron, but was so freaked out that I chopped the throttle and it came down rather hard, catching a wing tip, followed by the nose.

If I had kept the power on, it probably would have just kept on flying !

I mention all this because with the replacement parts being available, I was ready to go again the following weekend.

I've done a lot of scratch building in my day and the convience of being able to replace major components is something that I'm not familiar with...

...but I like it.

-DG

P.S. Glad to see ya on board Bob Belluomini, What's your set-up? stock????

That statement makes me think I should have gone 8s with my stumax The good thing is I got the one with the heat sink so I always can in the future.

Yes, nicely done. It would be nice if HH offered different color schemes for their jets, I think it would help sales more by offering different variety if the cost wasn't prohibitive. But then again, its a Habu 32 and a hot seller anyway!

Quick note , Mentioned earlier about the testors black metallic was a close match for touch ups on the black I would reccomend mixing in a bit of gloss black to get it perfect, I also found that testors "German Metallic Silver" is spot on for the silver touch ups. The only weird thing was that particular paint did not thin very well for airbrushing, I normally go 3 parts paint to 1 part thinner but that was way to thin for some reason (I might have gotten a bad bottle) but I remixed the ratios and got it just right and it looks right on the money for silver touch ups if anyone needs it!
