Jim,
Base on what you got....I would said you be at 6.1-6.3 lbs dry if you really skin the Habu.
My P-20 Habu weight 6.9 lbs and had use dual 900mAh lipos Rx and 2100mAh for ECU(needed for nose weight to balance). I was trying to save weight by tap the power from ECU..But Jetcat told me not too. The ECU away feed some bad RF noise to RX if tap the power ECU. So be safe than sorry with extra 4 oz for MPI voltage regulator and dual 900mAh 7.4v lipos.

BTW,
Just done flying and now ready for July 4th party....
Now I'm offcial off for the weeken.

ACK! That's heavy. I will have to weigh a stock plane without electronics to determine what that weight is. Maybe I will use fixed gear.

Fix gear not go to save you much.
The fuse is the most heavy of all. My 1:12 F16 is lighter and you got an idea.

Hmm, a turbine sport jet with fixed gear? Whats the point? BTW The difference in weight between fixed gear and eflight retracts is barely anything. I dont think there is that many ways you could lighten the stock habu airframe without losing strength? The fuse does feel pretty bulky but I think its in the layup of the glass. Good luck!

I wasnt trying to start anything with anyone, sorry if I sounded a bit sarcastic. However,be careful not to judge people by how many "post" they have either. Ive been building jets for over 20 years with my dad. Back then we had A4's and kfirs from Larry Wolfe(JHH) and had to fly them with k&b .45's and turbax fans. That was the best there was at one time. We had no internet.

I've learned to fly around the sun! Go over or under with good sunglasses!
The bullet fairing on the stock fan blocks our temp guns so no idea on motor temps
except it's probably very hot! I'll do a fast pass then cool it down under 1/2 throttle
then after landing keep it running at low power for a minute or so. Usually the taxi back to the pits is enough.
