I was not able to lift off grass at 1/2 flaps, but full flap TO on grass is fine after long roll.

Are you aware that the ICE factory settings include default settings of "soft delayed brake" and "outrunnner mode" for the switching rate?

I would disable the brake and set the switching rate to 12 or 16 kHz.
Just my opinion though.

Quick questions, I have a JR Sport 4.8v 1500mah nimh pack new laying around. Will that work for a rx pack? Also I know it's been posted but can someone tell me the size of Hitec servos to use? Should I use all digitals or waste of money, just digital for the rudder? I'm planning on using a Ice 100 and stock fan. Waiting to see Gary's 8s setup. I might be going that route as I have another plane that uses 4s 5000mah packs. In advance thanks.

Aint gonna happen in the box. Its big

Rook76, Hitec 82s or 85s work fine. I use a 82MG on the nose wheel and the elevators cause thats what I had already. 85s will fit fine and are just a touch stronger.

dbgood, I put my BEC on the opposite intake duct from the ESC. At that location, they are getting the airflow from the split in the duct, and it is in an aft position for CG.

Are people actually using 8s5000?? Seems like it would be a bit heavy. Most people using hitecs use hs85's.

I think Gary is setting his up with 2 4s 4000mah 65c xps packs on his 8s setup.
4s 4000mah 2 packs = 33.2 oz
4s 5000mah 2 packs = 39.6 oz

Will the extra weight majorly impair the Habu with the trust their getting with an 8s setup?
Also thanks will be getting the HS85's and the digital version for the rudder.

I don't see why that pack wouldn't work. Just keep it charged up.
