Castle just updated their castle link software. There is a new version in town.
What motor are you using with the castle esc?
Here are some good starting points with your software as long as you have the programming link. If you have these please disregard my ramblings and rock on with a call to Bernie..

Outrunner mode is better for edf planes/jet type planes. The pwm starts at a baseline of about 6 and goes up along with the motor rpm. This creates a very slight lag when in like high alpha pulsing the throttle. I dont like it. here are some basic settings I do and like.

Throttle= fixed end points. if you need help with this ill be glad to confuse you.
motor pwm=8
Timing= 4 ish. you can play with this good start is 4 if you can do run ups on the ground with hard/fast accel and no squeal.
Hard Start setting for the motor. the soft starts are for helis. I go 100% on this one.
Try these and see if they dont get you a better throttle feel.. and DEFINATLEY get the newest firmware in it.. it smooths the throttle out to a feel that is outstanding.

Can anyone tell me if the DX7 has a throttle curve. The manual isn't clear.

Thanks, some good stuff to play with. Seems like I just get the firmware updated on the CC ESC's then it's time to do it again. But that's one reason I buy them.

I was kidding about the confuse you part on the fixed end points. Clint Stone actually did a video in the castle forum on this site on how to do fixed end points in your radio. Good stuff. i'll go see if i can find it and link it.

All - Sorry for the late reply. Thanks again for all the information! I really, really do appreciate it. I'm experimenting with batteries and just want to make sure I don't screw something up on the ESC, motor, etc. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!

I went in and changed those settings and from static runs it feels better. Stronger response at low end.
