The pilot is looking really good. I've especially enjoyed your detailed explanation about mould making. So many pilots on the market look just terrible, and you're making the creation of a more personalised and detailed pilot achievable.

Can't wait to see him dirtied up a bit and in place...

Hmm. That's odd. I don't see it in any of my photos. It was probably in the shipping box Somewhere. Ill cast one and glue it on.

I'm betting on a 1/12 scale Felixstowe F2a (95 and 5/8 inches wing span). Should chug along nicely on a couple of 480s.

I finished up Fritz. He's ready to take his place in the cockpit and get to work now.
Some washes, paint, and pastels add depth. Clearcoats, of various gloss levels, seperate the different simulated surfaces. I'm pretty happy with the results, but wish I were as good as this fellow. http://www.youtube.com/user/MichToyC...61/a46nYVThCa4

Yes, warhead_71's "amateur" work is much better than anything available from "professionals" as far as I'm concerned. He's very talented.
BTW, he came in at only 2.8 oz. , and I can still remove a good portion of his back to make him even lighter.
