Yes, it was the ESC. I did not have the instructions for the JETI 18. The people from Jeti Model were good and send me an e-copy of all their ESC instructions. Reading that made me to realize that what I thought was a piezo beeper in the ESC is a variable resistor which I had to adjust to adjust the strart points of the motor. This is a feature of thei non-microprocessor ESC's. The ESC's with microprocessor (then number ends with 0 - like ESC 250) will do that on their own. Well, I learn something new every day.
