C-Payne,

Thanks for heads up on adding weight to the front of the plane.

As to the Hot Glue, did you use it as well when you attached the stab assembly to the fuselage?

How about the servo leads from the stab and rudder servos? Just force them through the little hole in the fuselage and run them in the channel underneath the fan?

Joel, First off I fly all my packs with no extra weight. I merely have all the different pack sizes marked as to thier location in the bay to achieve C/G.

My fan is held stationary using thin clear 2 sided 3M tape in addition to the extra force lended by the thrust tube.

As for my servo leads I did carve a bit of the foam away to allow the lead to sit in the channel properly and not interfere with the ESC and fan placement. Plus I use a long piece of piano wire with a hook on the end to fish the line through the tight spots .

On 5S I plan on running all stock gear, Fan/Motor/ESC as oters seem to have done so without issue.

Thanks for all the info guys. Sounds like this plane will accept a wide selection of battery sizes. Hope mine will arrive next week

Does anyone know if a 2200 4s will work. I know I might have to add weight to the nose, but I have a ton of 2200 4s packs and how long of a flight should I expect with the 4s 2200. I do have some 3600 4s 40c packs for my C-17, but they seem to be very heavy and are bigger then the battery slot in the plane, but after reading thrugh this thread, you guys are using larger packs.

ona 2200 4s i had nose weight 4aa battery right in front of the lipo wokked fine

ht joel rudder and elev wires go through the holes and under the fan . tc3wins 3.5 to 4min flight time with 4s 2200 . this plane glides very well . with a5s flies in 15 to 20 mph wind fine . im in north texas its allways windy 10 to 20 mph every day

Tc, I fly on 4S 2200 30C for around 3min wiht management. I have no dead weight in mine what so ever. If you check out my full flight video its on a 4S 2200 30C pack. I can always post pics of my Batt bay to show placement of my different packs and thier weights if anyone likes.

yes please i tried my 2600 4s all the way foward still tail heavy. may bee just my plane? how do you post photo s ? idont know my url of my photos . im new with the computer

To post pics you just go to the advanced post. Then towards the bottom of the advanced page there is a manage attatchments button. Then just select upload should be like 6-8 slots and click one to browse your computer for the pic to upload.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I really appreciate all the advice since this will be my first EDF.

Jason, any chance you could post pics of how you ran your servo leads? Also, what thrust tube are you talking about? I didn't get a thrust tube in my Meteor package... I'm hoping you mean the tube created when I attach the stabilizer assembly to the fuselage--or else Nitroplanes Tech support owes me a part!!

The double sided 3M tape that you used, is there a specific name or nomenclature for it? Why tape and not hot melt like CPayne?
