Will post video when I get back in town. I figure I've got 239.00 invested including labor which is alot less than the Habu II which would cost 333.00 with the struts. Included in the mod was replacing the elevator servo as well as installing a Castle Ice 100 I had sitting around. Plan to add more power after I wear out the stock motor on 5S. |

But soldering a power connector can be hard for someone with no soldering iron! LOL
Many flyers just buy and fly and have almost no tools... or not beyond simple screwdriver and hammer, hehe. So how hard can it be.... using a hammer, extremely hard if not almost impossible. (You can do almost anything with just a hammer). |

I bought a soldering iron when I got back into RC last year... last time around (ended about 10 years ago) I was a nitro guy. I'm not any good at it yet but at least I took the plunge and am doing my best. I can handle bullets but Deans are pretty tough for me. I haven't quite gotten around to standardizing yet.
But I do have a storage cabinet full of connectors, multiple gauges of wire, and shrink wrap... so maybe that day is coming... |
