The direction this year has almost always been "on" for mars. dont ask me why, I cant figure the place out. Straight in more often than not this year. The weather was a little brisk. We had hoodies on that day. Even after the hike up I never felt overheated. The weatherstation said it was gusting to 39WNW. We were measuring steady 45 gusting to 52 at the bottom. Hiked up and I checked the wind again. Only for about 30 seconds. Straight in, steady 45 with a gust to 58. Dropped everything and got the plane in the air. It was not the best conditions I have had at Mars. I had to really work for the speed and the energy was kind of hit and miss. 400 will come with a D80 there soon. I wish I had a D130 that day. Maybe a new record. Im looking forward to getting the new model going. Come out and fly sometime dude.

Had a good day at Johanna down here in Oz.
Forecast was for big winds but they never eventuated but a day DSing is better than no DS.

The wind was slow in starting, but built through the day. At the end it was gusting into 40s.
People present were
Joe Manor, Paul Anderson, Gregg Bolton, Bruce Tebo, Jason Lilly, Nick Stong, Kurt McCrum, Seth Penery, Tim Williams, Ian Frechette, James Duarte, Mike Hatch, Billy Cox, Joe Zwart, David Schloesser, Jeff Bartlett, and John Buxton. The initials below will correspond to the Radar Operator. There were several radar operators on the hill, possibly up to 5 at some times all with Falcons. The radar operator with the fastest speed is given as the witness. And you could tell that the operators really tried to give the best speeds by finding the best possible locations to radar from. We are all grateful to their efforts.

Only reason I didn't Post Nicks 356/TT and my 341/D80 was because they weren't PB's but I'll go ahead and put them on RCSpeeds. I'll look through the posts and post the highest speeds posted for each day if there's two speeds posted.
