Now, where did I put those emigration forms.....
Yes, it gets pretty hectic here, it's not called windy Welly for nothing . We often have 35 knots, but we don't have very good sites to fly those winds in, they usually blow out, with lots of turbulence on the darkside, often unflyable. We're still searching though

Some things don't change.
My last time in Wellington was I recall 1970, when Third Officer of the m.v. 'Haparangi', & on my watch during the approach I had sustained Katabatic winds which exceeded the scale of the anenometer - over 110 knots!

End of thread hijack.

Point needs help

http://savethepotm.org/ here is a link Geneva quarry is tearing down our beloved point. I believe tearing it down would not only be ugly and ruin a amazing recreation area, it could change the weather in our valley. Please visit the website, spread the word and do what you can to help us. Thank you and pardon the off topic plea

Here's a little bit of terrible phone video I took today. Its Waz with his burner.
It might give you an idea of the zone.
I really should get a dedicated video camera.
Burner at Wybung (0 min 32 sec)
