I have a glass moulded Harvard I picked up and restored from a fellow TOSSer. I must say it really is not a great sloper. Because of the short nose you really have to load up the lead and therefore up the overall weight. When it was flying alot of guys mentioned they have had issues building and sloping Harvards. Lets just say its currently crashed, stripped and hanging in my roof waiting on repairs

I agree...sorry drusky.....could extend the nose, but then it would look like a texan

We have a bearcat flying at TOSS, I'm sure a Harvard can work it just needs a different approach to the build, like keeping its arse as light as possible and possibly extending the nose just a smidgeon.
other areas to move weight toward are the leading edge and build the ailerons, flaps and elevators lighter.

If they could get the real thing to fly, the model must fly too.

well, the real thing had a short nose because the engine was very heavy, so its not a question of forcing it to fly, but a calculation of the mechanics. we can do it too, works every time I've tried it.... http://iwr.ru.ac.za/~iwdf/rc/cg.html

Could maybe modify the Corrosair plans, the basic fuselage shape is the same as the Harvard, would change the tail feathers and the wing. I have the Impala going now and another semi-secret personal build with black correx. But if a couple guys will COMMIT to building a Harvard, I will draw and plot the plans.
