50% Bigger Hydro-foamie
Has anyone here ever scaled up a Hydro-foam design like the Miss Hangar One, etc? I was thinking about getting the plans in CAD and scalling up somewhere around 50% bigger. Anybody got the plans already in CAD?
Also was thinking about whether such a beast would be cool with a ducted fan located behind the cockpit. It's understood that the smaller jet of fast air would not be as conducive to 3D and not as efficient as a prop. Just wondering if it's doable.

Yes and yes. EDF is possible as is up scaling. Did this a few years back. EDF was very flyable and could even hover (home-made purpose built EDF) and the big one flew pretty good on a Super Tiger 90. However like all Hydro's it suffers from the same instability in crosswind and gusty conditions - it eventually went in inverted one windy day.
