I believe this is the plane you are talking about.

BALSA USA
Stick 40 Plus

The Stick 40 Plus was designed with ailerons and is the deluxe version of the Stick 40. Simple to build, tough, and great flying characteristics make the Stick 40 Plus one of the best "Fun Flyers" you can own. The instruction book contains over 80 photos to guide you through every step of the construction. The 4-channel Stick 40 Plus may be perfect for your first R/C model.

Weight
5 to 5-1/2 lbs. Wing Span
58" Wing Area
600 Sq. In. Engine
.30-.40 2-stroke
.40-.60 4-stroke Length
43" 4 Channel
Kit No.434

Based on the above, here is one possible configuration. Notice that I selected an inrunner motor with a gear box. I did this because I think it will be easier to mount one of these to the plane with a clamshell mount than it would be to mount an outrunner.

The following is a quick run through Motocalc.

Quote:
MotOpinion - Untitled
800ft above Sea Level, 29.92inHg, 56°F

Motor: Hacker B50 10S; 3640rpm/V; 2.7A no-load; 0.009 Ohms.
Battery: Zippy Flight Max 4000 (20C) (20C); 4 cells; 4000mAh @ 3.7V; 0.008 Ohms/cell.
Speed Control: Castle Creations Phoenix 45; 0.0026 Ohms; High rate.
Drive System: APC 13x8 Electric; 13x8 (Pconst=1.08; Tconst=1) geared 6.7:1 (Eff=95%).
Airframe: BALSA USA Stick 40 Plus; 600sq.in; 82.9oz RTF; 19.9oz/sq.ft; Cd=0.055; Cl=0.32; Clopt=0.62; Clmax=1.11.
Stats: 83 W/lb in; 70 W/lb out; 22mph stall; 29mph opt @ 67% (37:32, 82°F); 41mph level @ 90% (21:08, 91°F); 1260ft/min @ 29.3°; -313ft/min @ -7°.

Possible Power System Problems:

The full-throttle motor current at the best lift-to-drag ratio airspeed (28.5A) is lower than the motor's maximum efficiency current (64.4A). A higher current level would improve system efficiency.Current can be increased by using more cells, a larger diameter or higher pitched propeller, a lower gear ratio, or some combination of these methods.

Power System Notes:

The voltage (13.7V) exceeds 12V. Be sure the speed control is rated for at least the number of cells specified above.

Aerodynamic Notes:

The static pitch speed (55mph) is within the range of approximately 2.5 to 3 times the model's stall speed (22mph), which is considered ideal for good performance.
With a wing loading of 19.9oz/sq.ft, a model of this size will have trainer-like flying characteristics. It would make an ideal trainer, for use in calm to light wind conditions.
The static thrust (72.9oz) to weight (82.9oz) ratio is 0.88:1, which will result in very short take-off runs, no difficulty taking off from grass surfaces (assuming sufficiently large wheels), and steep climb-outs. At the best lift-to-drag ratio airspeed, the excess-thrust (40.6oz) to weight (82.9oz) ratio is 0.49:1, which will give steep climbs and excellent acceleration. This model should be able to do consecutive loops, and has sufficient in-flight thrust for almost any aerobatic maneuver.
I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Wiz

I'm having difficulty understanding exactly what you wrote. I think something didn't work well in the translation.

I hope these pictures are good enough to describe the method for mounting the motor that I think you will need to use with the Balsa USA Stick 40.

stick 40

lightened the airframe a little and added wood up front to attach x-mount to fuselage via threaded inserts.
