that would work.

personaly i would go with alowr foot print .
& glass re-enforce a ply wood , or CF mount.

lik so .
here ridder axis and Elevator can act on motor independent of each other.

note teh push rod passes throug a small Alu id tube actine as a axis and a bushing .

the E 's push rod is inline with rudders axis , so rudder & E won't mix.
pulling and pushing will drive teh bell crank attached to outer ring ( rudder).

it pushes/pulls on inner mount plate to give E .

Im not sure if my drawings were very clear. this system is also independent of each other.

Grif' it's hard to tell but it looked like 2 hinges stacked.

If so , if the 2nd hinge is not in same axis as first , when the first moves , the pushrod for 2nd or it's actuator , will mix a bit as 2nd hinges horn distance from servo changes .

you can have independent input , but axis not inline will cuase unwanted input mix.

can you pop up a render from diff view ? .

sliding plates is one way i never figured out myself. but sliding plates wit pivots can do this too.

Thanks guys. I didn't have a successful maiden but I figured it out when I got home. A piece of the blenderm hinge tape came away on my right wing and acted like a brake on that side. It just went all over the place on the first toss but landed without damage. I thought it was tail heavy so I put a bigger battery in and it it flew but banked hard left and eventually I lost it and it went in with minor damage. It's fixed and should be no probs now. Will try later today.

Prime 8 - those thrust vectoring plates look cool and is something I have been meaning to try. I saw some vid of a Funjet with one on and it adds a whole new dimension. Someone out of Germany manufactures them for the Funjet for about 50 bucks I think. I think they were carbon fibre. Anyways, it would have to be a bit bigger plane to handle the extra servos.

Mayday - I know it will fly great next time (today)

Matk - it's the Duke of Depron (he is the Earl of EPP). And yes I have a kit cut out for you and was going to give it to you yesterday but you were a no show bro.

Did a quick flight this morning and it flew pretty good. I have a couple of things to improve. I am a bit nose heavy and not near enough throws. Rolls are not very axial but that may be c of g. May add a canard later if the nose still wants to drop.

boardman ,
lol i was looking for fiberglass sheets to "mill" some VT mount parts from .
if you have decent servos you can run split linkage with the control surfaces .
the A.E. mount is easier and stronger but we like our jets with elevons LOL .

as far as bigger if i can get my current forward swept one up and flying well i will make a ~40 inch version , for my big beast of a motor i have now .

i would say CG . Mayday & SNice found better flight with ajusted CG .

COOL! you're almost there Russ, If you add fix canards make sure you angle them up at least 2 degrees for that wingspan. My BAE HAWK was a huge success using my famous parkflyer set-up we used on the rafale.
BAE HAWK MAIDEN! (3 min 47 sec)

....I will be building V2 soon and I know we will have another badass jet with this set-up....I'm waiting for the mailman to bring my case of foam

mayday.
