programing

You only need to re-program it if you are using Lipo's. This boat is like my Fastech.... set up for 2 6cell Nimh packs but esc can be programmed to use Lipos with the programming card. This is standard with some Pro Boats and is spelled out in all the ads. Read about the boats before you buy! Or if you want...... just use lipos without re-programming and kill the lipos maybe. Choice is yours.

I agree. I have some nice aluminum thumb screws coming, that I plan to incorporate to insure an adequate mechanical seal. Previously mentioned, I will also be adding weather stripping to add an additional safe guard.

I am not sure of the forces these boats have to insure when they flip or kite, but I am very familiar with what happens to the real race boats. These guys are pretty light so the forces are not as great, still would be disastrous if the hatch separates from the hull.

These are very cool boats, and I can hardly wait to see what some of the boys out there do them to push them up to their true potential.

Be well

I have the new flexshaft. I thought the manual stated it didn't need to be programmed for lipo? I don't have the manuals in front of me, darn. Does this mean if I ran the lipos, I just would have to be careful I don't run them down below 3.0v per cell?

About your Speed Controller
Be sure to use a Programming Module
(PRB3311) to adjust the cutoff voltage when
using Li-Po batteries to protect against overdischarging
the batteries.
Note: The ESC is factory-set for use with
Ni-MH batteries.
The programming module offers other
beneficial adjustments like exponential
throttle curves and timing adjustments. Visit

It kinda grows on ya. Like moss or mold

Ok, Ok, I said the color was growing on me. I may, I say, I may just, maybe leave it Geico green for a while. (I have to find the paint I need any way)

If this boat becomes as popular as I think, there will be so many of these darned things on the lake, it will be hard to know one from another, and ya know what that can lead to! Thuddddd, "Oh crap", Man, I thought that one was my boat??? er ah, Der! Sorry.............
Ya know what a mean!?

One of my closest friends has the same exact RC sailboat as mine, and I can atest to you that after consumeing a couple or so, of "Capin Morgans 'n gingerales",(don't laugh until you try it) it can be very interesting to determine which one is which. I attached a couple of pictures to give you an idea of just what I am sayin.

I've come up with a way to tell which one is mine, its the one in front! Arh, Arh, Arh

Yup, I can see this happening at the Dam in the very near future

Question: What sized Lipos are you using in Miss Geico?

FYI - Miss Geico looks like it has the same Motor and ESC setup as my Proboat Miss Elam Hydro (which I use: 2x 2s 5000mah Lipos in series).

If you can run them with the esc set the way it is.........just run them for about 4-5 minutes max to ensure not running them down...........thats if they are 5000mah.......3-4 minutes with 3500's or so......just to be safe.

That reminds me of a time a let a buddy run one of my all wheel drive rally cars against my other one. We ran them down our block to the end, far away and i stopped and then he was ramming into the curb over and over..........thinking his car (my car) wasnt moving, he was just gunning it back and forth......the body was trashed
