2wd slash cvds. to bash or not to bash...

so ive really been kicking the crap out of my 2 slashes as of late. big drops, big jumps etc. i have been bending the stock stub axles on a regular basis. is it worth the $ to go to mip cvds? or am i gonna have the same problems with bent axles. ive been building up my trucks to be the best bashers possible, and now the weakest link is the stub axles. any imput would be great. thank you in advance.

I see alot of people are having this problem, They have contacted traxxas about it and they said that it was a bad batch of axles or something. Contact Traxxas and maybe they will send you some new ones that are harder.

it's not a bad batch actually. they tend to bend a lot. and yes, the mip cvd's would be worth it. i'd get them, they should fix the problem and provide a better axle as well. i want them, but it's not a huge priority for me, since my stockers are still going(amazingly, they deserve to be messed up by now). somehow. but once they go, i'm going to upgrade to that kit as well.

Personally, I'm looking at using the Slash 4x4 for drive-line conversion parts. I'm pretty sure it would work and be less expensive.

ive never broken a driveshaft, but the axles seem to bend pretty easily right were the pin goes through it. im also gonna have to figure out a better, stronger way of mounting the tranny to the chassis. i have broken the little mounting tabs on 2 chassis' in the last couple days. might try the proline chassis saver. payday just doesnt come fast enough:P

i bet a low cg chassis can fix that tranny issue for sure, but i bet proline's chassis saver will to, and traxxas' axles have had issues with bending and snapping for a long time on the slash. they may be working on it, but i doubt it will fix the issue. i need to go to bed.
