Yak 55 From West Michigan Park Flyers
I built mine and ready to fly with 9g servos, Turnigy 2730-1500 motor and 3S 610 battery it is 8.8oz.
I couldn't find weights on their site but it seems heavy. Thoughts?

Everything you'd want to know about the EPPYak55 can be found here:
These planes will fly well on a wide weight range.
Yes lighter will be more floaty but a little extra weight will give it a larger plane feel.
Here's the combo that's been working for me over the last year or so for outside flying:
1700 KV motor from Head Up RC(the extra KV is needed for the heavier planes)
Nano 1000 3s
9g servo on ailerons
2 5g servos (rudder and elevator)
GWS 8X4 HD prop
AUW weight is 8.3oz
I have a second Yak55 with LED lights
The lights add 2.2oz. for a AUW of 10.5oz
Both fly well.. will hover, tail touch and have good pull out. (lighter one has much better pull out)
Fly your plane and if you like.. no worries.
If you want a tad more power go with the 1700kv motor
Hope this helps!
