I just have to say that this thread is awesome. I have learnt more about Woodies and boat building in general reading it than from all of the searching I have done in the past.
My wife is pushing me to make some sort of cruiser as she is not happy with all of the planking and brass I have painted on my workboats.
This thread is just the help I needed to not only pick a style but get started on it.
Thanks for the great work Craig.

Ian.

p.s. Be on the lookout for a "Le Chaton" build in the not too distant future.

Way to go Ian. Do you have any boats that you have already built that you can post pictures of? WE are big on pictures here because a lot of us can't read. Well we can but we'd rather look at pictures.
Anyway welcome to the forum and looking forward to your next build. By the way, what's a "Le Chaton"? Pete

If any subject deserves to become a ''sticky'' this one does, glad to see it.

Here is one that floats.

Le Chaton, or as it will likely be La Chaton means The Kitten, most probably will be nasty beast any way I build it.
Going to be a 1/16 Bridge Cruiser, based loosely on a Bluebird of Chelsea hull finished bright with my own superstructure.

I wish people who film classic machines, such as the boats, would record the audio of the machines working.

sigh....

I thought the missing sound was a miss too. The pictures are good though.

That isn't fairplay Pete, now there is too many options to choose from, just in case you didn't notice the videos at the bottom.

Heh heh. I noticed but I also noticed that the stupid movie stops every ten seconds to upload some more video. I hate that and don't know how to fix it.
SO IF YA CAN'T CHOSE ONE THEN BUILD 'EM ALL. HA! Pete

Wow, I really enjoyed that. I just realized, I've never seen antique motoryachts underway before.
