We are talking about improved duty ball links to upgrade with. The stock ones in some cases are barely long enough to catch 2 threads.

I purchased this plane from original owner, who partially built it and did not fly it. My plane did not come with extra ball link sockets in the hardware bag. The original owner over screwed (3 or 4 turns?) the ball link socket on one of the two vector thrusts, which caused it to break open. I placed epoxy glue on this ball link socket, but would prefer to replace it before the maiden flight.

Rudder MOD

Hey guys, has anyone tried adding rudders to this bird? I simply can't fathom why such a GREAT kit would not have rudders. VT I can do without, But Rudders??!!

Anyhoo, has anyone retro'd some on this bird? I can think of some ways to do it, but I figured I'd ask those who actually own one first.

The VT can effect yaw, even at low airspeed, so they probably omitted rudders as redundant.

Freewing F/A 18 Setup issues with JR 9303

I just put together the Freewing F/A 18 and am having issues with the programming with my JR 9303. The directions in the manual for the DX7 do not work/apply to the 9303. The rudder works with the thrust vectoring but the ailerons and elevators work only with the left TV and it goes in the same direction with up/down elevator or aileron movement. I have tried to program my 9303 according to the review on this thread (the 9503) but it didn't work. Has anyone had these issues when setting up this aircraft? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Cool, hey do you have the ME-262 by chance? I wanted to use a battery that could work with both this F-18 and that ME-262.

a 4500 mAh battery in the Dynam Me 262 isn't going to give you much flight time. The stock system draws around 100 Amps. The smallest you want to go is 5000 mAh. Most folks are running something larger than 6000 mAh.
