HP Server Power Supply conversion
hello all i have a hp dps-500 ab a power supply that i think came from a netserver it is a 495w psu and has what resembles 2 24 pin connectors and i think they call it a hot swap psu, now my question is does anyone know where the location for the ps_on is on this psu, i have searched and even called hp, with no avail a good discription of the psu and some pics are here
i am lost and i would like to convert it to a charger but im stuck at step one, locating the pin/pins to power on the psu. i hope someone could help

may provide some help as to a logical approach to trail and error. You can also just wait and hope someone comes along with the solution.

See page 92 of the attached. No pinouts unfortunately. There never are, that's why there are a number of threads from the "suck it and see" guys who have figured out how to make various supplies work. You might be able to find more info on the net by searching on the full device rather than just the PS though. Good luck.
