Heartfelt "ThankYou" to All American

I came to this party late and just finished a FMS tali wheel modification and installation as he showed.

What a super addition to my P51B. Thanks All American. You're an innovater. I think I'll work on gear doors.

Now I hope Eflite does something really neat in their Platinum Series....... An SBD Dauntless or a Stuka would be great. ....OR a P38 Lightning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Stuka would be an exciting project.....with a lot of neat features. The Dauntless has a lot of complicated, neat things too. Horizon already has a Corsair in 50 and 60 sizes.

I just got the Corsair 50 to be my next electric project.

You're welcome. There are some individuals myself included who are truly exceptional. LOL

Have fun flying your P51B. I've got 47 flights on mine so far and it's the best flying plane I've owned to date.

What is every one running for servo's on the P-51b?


I was thinking on Hitech HS-81's all the way around.

I run hs-81's all around and like them, although i just put a hs82mg on the rudder for durability. Tomsrc sells a 6pack for like $65

I have used the Hitech HS-81's on mine and they work fine.
And also the D-MG16 Metal Gear for a lower cost alternative.

Power 25 on a 4S 3000, fixed landing gear, and no pilot or any extras at all.
Still debating on using flaps. I don't know if it will save enough weight to matter anyway?
It should be interesting to see if there is a difference in how this flies as light as I can make it.

Why the power 25 and not the 32.

Well I'll finally get my retracts in tomorrow. Has anyone used the stock wire for retract legs without the covers? I ask because I bought them used without LG wire, and I want to put on an oleo strut anyway. But I'd also like to fly it in the meantime. It is possible without too much work?

I think I'm going to build my second Eflite P-51B as light as I can.
Power 25 on a 4S 3000, fixed landing gear, and no pilot or any extras at all.
Still debating on using flaps. I don't know if it will save enough weight to matter anyway?

I wondered about that motor myself........The power 25 has a max amp rating of 44amps...I would think the smaller physical size of the Power 25 along with low max amp rating would have a difficult time flying even a "light" P-51B at 5 lbs..considering the smaller prop diameter and pitch needed to not over amp the motor....interesting indeed....
