I just have to get this off my chest!

So I'm finishing up the build of my new M05 chassis and there I was pondering the install of my old Futaba Attack RX when I figured the nice new chassis deserved something better. I found a Spektrum DX3S tx and rx going for a song on eBay, used but in good nick the bloke said.

All turns up looking ok, and working fine. A little while after I start configuring it, I notice the steering operates the throttle and vice versa. Bit of fiddling and I havnt solved it, then I notice that although the throttle trigger operates the steering, the steering trim still works with the steering servo. Same is true of the throttle trim.

Now I have a hunch about what is going on, so I take the thing apart, and sure enough some previous owner has swapped the connections from the steering pot and the throttle trigger on the main pcb. Swap them back, put it all back together and it all now works as expected.

What a lot of effort, doesn't feel like such a bargain now!

Lol, too true. Lesson learned, and at least I understand the internals the DX3S a little bit now!
