It's a 540 motor - a shortened 600.

It's identical to the Endo (Endoplasma), except has one extra winding, so needs a slightly bigger prop/lower gear ratio.

These motors a very effective for some purposes. If you search ezone for the Endo/Endoplasma you will see a lot of stuff about it recently, especially on the sports forum. Most of this applies equally to the Atomic Force.

You say have a gearbox. This is essential for either of these motors. A high ratio (4:1+) is best, but anything 2:1 or more can be used.

The current 'hot' topic is using Endoplasma on 10 cells at about 4.5:1 gear ratio with a 12x8 prop. The Atomic Force works very well in a similar setup.

Gary Wright's E3D is probably the best if you don't mind joining the end of what sounds like a very long queue for the kits. A load of people are using Modeltech Magic's (there's loads of stuff in the Sports forum about this). I'm using a Limbo Dancer which is almost identical to the Magic. Atomic Force, 10 cells, 5:1 gearbox, 14x7 APC prop. Incredible results from a cheap motor and an unmodifed IC ARTF plane.
