New Mamba from NSP
This is a little sport pattern Ship originally called the Lil Cobra. We are getting the first production run this week. To view this airplane go to http://www.nesail.com/Mamba/mamba.htm
This is a small sport pattern airplane..not a 3D ship and will do very smooth aerobatics. Very graceful....It flies in a small area and will still hover if you must

Of course it will hover and it does it well, but the design was intended for SMOOOOOTH aerobatics and this it does exceedingly well. The long fuse and large tail surfaces with balanced moving surfaces do nicely. The 10% airfoil give the Mamba a wide speed range which I very much like.
The price on the Website is $149.95 for the airplane only. For E-zoners the price is $139.95 (for the month of July 2003) The combo deal is on the Daily Specials and E-zoners get free shipping (don't forget to mention this when ordering) I haven't tried this yet, but I am fairly sure that you could put a Razor motor or BL20 in the front of the nose with Li-Polys and no landing gear. This would give you a possible weight of 13-15 ounces. Something I will have to try. Right now I find that the MP Jet 25/35-20 MK2 motor with geardrive works well producing about 24-25 ounces of thrust on an 8-cell 950 mah KAN battery. Total flying weight is 19 ounces. |

Andreas! Stop asking about the projects in the works! The 78" version WHEN it is in production will be very different type of airplane. That's all I can say at this time..ot you can call me.
The next to airplanes to come out of LN models will be a 33" all composite P-51, and a larger Javelin. I should have one of the prototypes for the P-51 this week. |

Sal, That is light. I just weighed the components on my spare Diablo. It's 6.2 oz , to that need to add glue and the stickers.
There both the same size 1 meter span. And the Diablo is a bare Depron plane - very fragle. I may sell my spare Diablo and get a Mamba. Is the Mamba longer than the span - It looks it. |

I weighed the components on a digital scale. Depron is not the lightest material to use. built up can be lighter and a lot stronger. The fuse is the same length as the wing which is called a "square" aircraft for pattern work.
The Mamba flies very smooth with positive control throughout the speed range. It really is a breakthrough product. |

Rob, I use a single HS-55 on my Tiger Diablo that I had at SEFF.
It is the same size as the Mamba, a meter square. The 55 works fine but you may want something stromser if you prop it for speed. Diablo is about 22oz with AF-020 geared, 3 55's, 10*CP1300's Mamba looks like a great drop-in replacement for the gear in my meat plate Tiger.
