Topher, At this point just watching and sideline sitting. I just picked up about 2 weeks ago the EPO 64mm version that H/L sells from the LHS. Bought it because I did not know how long this was gonna take to come out. So for now I will fly and enjoy it. This may be down the line .

The ducting and such looks very similar to my 64mm one I have sitting here. Battery tray, fan hatch, and canopy hatch. Only differences are well the retracts and the fact that this one already has a plastic clear canopy which is a huge plus in addition to well the gear . Looks like when I am ready to hop up there wont be much guess work. Nice work Andy.

Thanks for the photos - overall are you pleased? Think the stock fan is worth using? I noticed the foam inside the cockpit looks like it has an alligator skin finish, what's up with that.

Still on the fence as to servoless retracts - think I will fly without gear first before I go to the trouble. Will pickup the servoless retracts from HobbyKing if I do - about $30 gets you a set.

Excited, mine should arrive on Mon.

It's a really nice looking kit, The foam is very sturdy , it reminds me of the Elapor foam they use on the FunJet. looking forward to building it this weekend. I'm going to use a Wemotec Fan with ARC motor on this bird. going to fly it for a while with the fixed gear before getting the Electrics.
The included 70mm 6blade fan looks strong however the shroud is somewhat thin. I am going to drop a Typhoon motor in it just to see what level of wattage and amp draw it yields.

Regarding the retracts the wing gear bays are precut with foam inserts plugs so the upgrade should be straightforward. :-)

Couldn't wait

I succumbed and ordered one. I guess I will have a wingman for my F-86. Will probably add a rudder on this one. Now if I could just get all the issues on my Saber worked out.

$150 for airframe, electric retracts, nice struts, 70mm fan is not bad at all:
$150 - 10%off = $135 + shipping

I'm very tempted but the landing gear really puts me off. Why is it that all Chinese models come with ridiculously short LG and very small wheels? They go through the trouble of making the airframe super-scale, but totally mess up the landing gear and wheels. I may pick one up and get a different retract set from somewhere, something a little more scale.
The lack of anhedral is also distracting from the scale looks. Otherwise, not bad...

from the photo, the retracts look just perfectly right to me :-)
from the specs, the full scale Mig-15 has only 2 degree anhedral, not much at all

I agree, looks pretty scale to me as well. I will be placing an order for the silver version today. I plan on hand launching/belly landing this ship and using a spare Sapac MB-1 motor and fan or E-flite Habu combo on the model. I ran the MB-1 in my habu on 4s and it was good for 900 watts. I cannot wait to see this fly with the various power systems that are available!
